Weedy seadragons Phylum chordata are a protected species and endemic to Australia’s Great Southern Reef.  Throughout their lifecycle, the decline of habitat is a real threat, from shallow estuaries of seagrass meadows (protected) to deep offshore rocky reefs of Giant kelp Macrocystis pyrifera (endangered).

Amanda’s work focuses on threatened species and seeks to understand the connections that emerge between the vulnerability of the landscape and our connectedness to nature.

This artwork is on exhibit at Artless Gallery for the 2026 Forestier Art Trail.  The artwork on exhibit is framed by Staley & Son Hobart.  Artworks can be mailed direct to the framer if you wish to book the print in for framing. Framing times vary between 2-3 weeks.
